After the last congress from 2021, which was held online due to COVID-19 restrictions, public health concerns and limitations in international travels, the Association of geneticists in Bosnia and Herzegovina invites you to join us at The third congress of geneticists with international participation in Sarajevo. The congress will take place from 2 to 4 October 2023 at Hotel Holiday.
Join us for the truly global forum that will bring together the international genetics community to share ideas and the latest research. The Congress will cover the breadth of fundamental discoveries in genetics and genomics, the latest advances in technologies, and important and topical applications in areas such as health, agriculture and the conversation of species and the environment.

This Congress will be accompanied by a satellite workshop focused on “Applied Biotechnology for 2030 agenda. ICGEB Meetings and Courses”, that will be held from 4 to 7 October, after the congress ends. Both events are organized in collaboration with Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally.
The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged.

The 3rd Congress of Geneticists in Bosnia and Herzegovina with international participation will be held at Hotel Holiday Inn.
Four stars Hotel Holiday, located in the center of Sarajevo is the successor of the famous “Holiday Inn” hotel. It was designed by renowned Bosnia and Herzegovina’s architect Ivan Štraus, and built in 1982-1983 for the purpose of hosting the guests of XIV Winter Olympic Games. It has become an icon and the landmark of the city. Recently, it was acquired by the Europe group, well established and highly respected hotelier corporation. In addition to comfortable and spacious areas dedicated to rest and pleasure, the hotel also offers one of the largest congress centers with 10 air-conditioned halls.
